Do I need to have already booked with House of Social to refer friends?

Yes, you’ll need to have paid for your booking to be eligible for referral rewards.

Who can refer friends?

Anyone who has booked to live with us for the 25/26 academic year can refer friends.

Can I refer more than one friend?

Absolutely. The more mates you refer, the more you can earn. There’s no limit.

Do I need to pay my booking fee before I invite my friends?

You’ll need to have paid your booking to secure your own room before receiving cashback for referring a friend.

How will I receive cashback?

We would notify you of the payment method prior to sending the cash-back but it is typically paid via PayPal, a world renowned secure and safe payment platform.

When will I get my cashback for referring my friends?

Referral incentives will be paid in October and November.

How can I refer a friend and what are the benefits?

Referring your friends is easy. You can complete the process in just 4 simple steps:

1. Check that your friend is happy to be contacted by us and ask them for the email and phone number that they wish for us to contact them on.

2. Complete our referral form giving us yours and your friends details including the building you have booked for or are currently staying in.

3. Our sales team will be in touch shortly after to make the booking with your friend.

4. As long as you meet the criteria, you and your friend will both receive £250 from us by December.

Can I refer my friends after my stay at House of Social?

Of course! House of Social is worth shouting about. While you would no longer be eligible for the rewards of the referral scheme, you would be ensuring your friend has the best accommodation during their studies.

What are the rules for referring a friend to stay at House of Social?

If you have booked to stay with us during the 2025/26 academic year and refer another student to us who successfully goes on to book within 28-days of being referred by you, and their booking is for an occupation period of no less than 44-weeks during the 2025/26 academic year at House of Social, both you and the student you refer to us will receive £250 after you check-in next year (from time to time this amount may be increased in line with temporary promotions).

The person you refer must not be already active on our database.

The referral incentive isn’t awarded as a discount off the License Fee – it will be paid to you as a separate payment, via a payment method of House of Social’s choice.

The referral cashback would be void if one of you were to not check into House of Social.

Are there any group booking offers?

Yes. If you book as a five or six bed house you will all receive £500 cashback once you move in, or if you book a two-bed house you will both receive £250. Check out our house bookings page for more information.
