Cashback Terms & Conditions

These terms and conditions were last updated in April 2025.

THIS PROMOTION IS MANAGED AND OPERATED BY HOUSE OF SOCIAL MANAGEMENT LTD AND APPLIES TO THE 2025/2026 ACADEMIC YEAR ONLY.

1. Definitions

‘Cashback’ means a cashback payment for booking with House of Social for the 2025/26 academic year pursuant to the terms and conditions below.

‘Booking’ means a completed booking for a House of Social property in the United Kingdom (“House of Social Property”) for the 2025/26 academic year for which you have signed a licence agreement and paid an advanced licence fee (if applicable).

2. Cashback terms of offer

1. To be eligible for this Offer, you must:

(a) have completed a Booking before 30th April 2025
(b) have booked a minimum of 36 weeks starting before January 2026 at House of Social, unless stated otherwise;
(c) not have booked your accommodation through a third-party agent or partner;
(d) have checked into House of Social and completed the relevant Cashback Offer form;
(e) where your agreed licence fee payment plan is for instalments, have paid all licence fee instalments due and payable as of 1st November 2025 or where your agreed licence fee payment plan is for an upfront payment, have paid the licence fee in full by 1st November 2025; and
(f) not be in breach of any term of your licence agreement or the House of Social House Rules.

2. If you do not meet the above conditions by 1st November 2025, you will not be eligible to receive any Cashback.

3. This Offer can be applied in conjunction with the Full House Booking Cashback promotion. See Group Booking Terms and Conditions.

4. This Offer can also be applied in conjunction with Refer a Friend (‘RAF’) promotions only where the referral under RAF is not a current or previous Resident of House of Social. See Refer a Friend Terms and Conditions.

5. The Offer is only applicable to you and is non-transferable. In cases where a room is booked with dual occupancy, only the lead booker is eligible for the Offer.

6. If you request to be released from your licence agreement and we accept such request, we reserve the right to rescind this Cashback offer and/or deduct the value of any Cashback payment received from any licence release related refund.

7. If you are eligible for Cashback, you will be contacted by House of Social in November 2025 via email and invited to claim your Cashback. You must claim your Cashback as instructed by 1st December 2025, after which date the Cashback will no longer be available and all rights to claim the Cashback are forfeited.

8. The decision to pay the Cashback is at the absolute discretion of House of Social Management Ltd.

9. The Cashback is not a discount off any fees or charges that you may owe us. The Cashback is a separate amount paid to you by House of Social. House of Social reserves the right to pay any Cashback by method, at its sole discretion. In order to claim the reward, you may be required to agree to the terms and conditions of a third party payment service who will be appointed to manage the payments on our behalf.

10. The Offer is subject to availability, and we reserve the right to withdraw, modify or substitute the Offer for another with different terms at any time and without notice during this promotion.

11. This Offer does not apply to any assignment of an existing licence agreement.

3. Eligibility to claim Monetary Reward
  • You and the student you refer will be eligible to claim the monetary award when the following conditions are met:
    • The Eligibility Terms in 4 and 5 above were met, and
    • as of 1st November 2025, you and the student you referred, have both taken occupation of the rooms under your respective Occupancy Agreements in the House of Social building, and
    • all payments due to date under your respective Occupancy Agreements have been made
4. How to Claim Your Reward
      • If you successfully referred a student and all of the eligibility terms were met, you will be contacted by us in November 2025 via email and invited to claim your reward.
      • You must claim your reward by 1st December 2025, after which date the reward will no longer be available and all rights to claim the reward are forfeited.
      • The reward is not a discount off any fees or charges that you or the student you refer may owe us, but it is a separate amount paid to you by us, via a method of our choosing. In order to claim the reward, you may be required to agree to the terms and conditions of a third party payment service who will be appointed to manage the payments on our behalf.
      • The referral promotion cannot be used in conjunction with the full house group booking promotion.
      • Bookings concluded in conjunction with MMU (Manchester Metropolitan University) at a discounted rate to our usual rooms cannot be eligible for either the Referral or the Full House booking promotions.

We reserve the right to amend, terminate or withdraw this promotional offer at any time without liability to you or any person you may refer.
