Something big is coming to Manchester, and it’s launching at House of Social this summer. Say hello to OK Taqueria. OK Taqueria draws from the soul of the streets of Mexico City and the sun-drenched swagger of LA, with a bit of British irreverence thrown in for good measure. This is new wave taco culture — bold, unfiltered, and built for now. It’s about big flavour, punchy heat, unexpected pairings, and dishes that ditch the rulebook in favour of fun.

If you’ve eaten in Manchester over the past few years, you’ve likely had a taste of the team’s work. Between Mughli’s cult curry dishes, Evelyn’s low-lit brunches, Public’s natural wine and small plates, and the baked-goods empire that is Gooey, these folks know how to make good food. Born from a shared obsession with street food’s raw energy and the communal joy it brings, OK Taqueria is designed for the hungry, the curious, and the flavour-chasing. Whether you’re a student on your lunch break, a creative clocking off, or just someone who believes tacos are a food group — this one’s for you.

The menu pulls no punches. Expect corn tortillas warm off the press, stacked high with the good stuff:
  • Crispy pork belly al pastor — rich, smoky, and just the right kind of messy.
  • Tinga chicken with chipotle sour cream.
  • Queso birria beef shin with a side of consommé to dunk, dip, and devour.
  • Vegan chicken-fried maitake mushrooms — crunchy, umami-packed, and totally plant-based.
  • Baja-style cod cheek with crema for the pescatarian crowd.
  • Jalapeño sausage, cheesy tots burritos that take breakfast and turn the heat all the way up.
Follow OK Taqueria on Instagram for opening announcements, menu previews, and behind-the-scenes peeks.

We can’t wait to welcome our doors this summer. See you in August 2025!
