Right in the heart of Manchester’s buzzing First Street neighbourhood, we’ve opened our doors, served up hundreds of dishes from our five kitchens, poured the first pints and started the party. This isn’t just a place to eat, or a place to live – it’s somewhere to belong. And you’re invited.
Our food hall is open six days a week, from early coffees to late-night cocktails, with five independent kitchens bringing the flavour. Grab a table with your mates, get comfy on the terrace, or pull up a stool at the bar and see where the night takes you.
Mughli
Manchester royalty. A kitchen born and raised on Curry Mile, Mughli is serving Punjabi comfort food with that same swagger it’s had since the ‘90s. Rich, deep, slow-cooked curries. Street snacks that crunch. Masala fries worth fighting over. Their biryani? A thing of beauty.
Burger & Beyond
Straight outta East London and into your mouth. Burger & Beyond aren’t playing games. These are dirty, drippy, unapologetically indulgent burgers – stacked with aged beef, bacon butter, molten cheese and a whole lot of attitude. Throw in some crispy tater tots and a shake that eats like a dessert and yeah, you’re gonna need a nap after. But it’s the best kind of nap.
Choi Wan
Bright neon, wok smoke in the air, and flavours that bounce. Choi Wan brings the spirit of Hong Kong’s street stalls right into our hall. Duck bao that melts. Chicken skewers grilled with fire and love. And the prawn toast crumpet? Ridiculous.
OK Taqueria
There’s nothing “OK” about this place – it’s ridiculously good. OK Taqueria brings that sun-drenched, taco-truck energy straight from Southern California to the heart of Manchester. We’re talking crispy-edged birria beef, juicy pork belly drenched in pineapple salsa, baja-style cod that flakes just right, and burritos that could double as dumbbells. It’s loud, it’s spicy, it’s messy in the best way.
Dough Religion
Worship at the altar of carbs. Dough Religion is built on one thing: outrageously good sourdough. The 18-inch New York-style pizzas are crispy, chewy, cheesy perfection. The subs are stacked, the bagels bounce, and the cinnamon rolls? Dangerous.
House of Social is built to be lived. Come in early, grab a coffee and a pastry, plug in and get through your to-do list. Stay for lunch, stick around for cocktails. It’s a place to work, meet, eat, and hang out, with the energy shifting from laid-back to lively as the day goes on. DJs, live music, events, good vibes. Whether you’re here every day or just passing through, you’ll feel part of something.
So come say hi. Bring your dog. Bring your best mate. Bring your laptop, your hangover, your appetite. Come for the food, stay for the people. Whether you’re moving in or just passing through, House of Social is open – and we’re only just getting started.
